A note from the director,

Welcome! Thank you for choosing to become a member of the Deputy family. We are excited to be entering our 40th year teaching the youth of Lorain County the sport of baton twirling and the art of percussion based music. We work to foster a positive atmosphere for our members and their families  to learn and grow in their musicianship and in the sport of baton twirling. Every member of the corps brings his unique talent to the group and is valued for who they are. We offer a cost effective alternative to expensive extra-curricular activities for young people.

The Deputies staff is experienced and knowledgeable in their craft. We have USTA certified baton twirling instructors, judge and professional members of the organization as well as experienced alumni on staff.  The percussion staff is equally as qualified to instruct young people. They have been teaching drum and marching skills for over twenty years.

We are primarily a parade corps based group during the summer months.  The parade season begins in May and runs through October. During the off season, November through April, we are learning new skills, routines, cadences and working together as a group. We offer private lessons and training opportunities (additional fee) through our instructors.

The Deputies club and corps began competing indoors in February 2020. They recently traveled to Twirl Mania International Competition where they achieved three first place scores to win in their divisions. They also were awarded the Team Spirit Crown award for their outstanding spirit and sportsmanship.

We are looking forward to an exciting 40th anniversary and invite you to be part of something exciting!
